Celebrating its 20th anniversary, the International Festival of Comics and Games is the biggest event of this kind in Central and Eastern Europe.
Each September, the Łódź Culture Centre in the heart of the city draws several thousand comic fans from Poland and other countries. Guests invited to the festival include such comic celebrities as Grzegorz Rosiński, Peter Milligan, Stan Sakai, Marvano, Pot Mills, as well as Polish authors of classic comic books, including Henryk Chmielewski, Tadeusz Baranowski, Szarlota Pawel, and Bohdan Butenko.
For the last few years, the Festival has also been an opportunity for computer game producers to present their offer.
