Teresa Pągowska (1926-2007) - painter, leading member of the Sopot School. She was a professor at the Warsaw Academy of Fine Arts. The expressiveness, ease and universality of her compositions are what mark her work out, for example in the 'Magic figures' series. She received the Kazimierza Ostrowski Prize in 2002.
