During eleven November days, we will have a look at cinema from behind eastern border. Next to classics, there are the latest productions of the young creators. Festival will run from 17th until 27th of November.

Starting from 2007, Foundation SUPPORT, in cooperation with European Advertisement Agency, distribution company 35 mm and with Polish Film Institute, brings to Polish audience achievements of acknowledged in the west, but still not known in our country, Russian directors. This year, the organizers offer the viewers retrospections of two masters: Michail Kalik, whose films were censored by Soviets for many years and Andriej Konczalovsky, author of 'House of Fools”, „The Inner Circle” and „A Nest of Gentlefolk”.

We will look at the cinema from behind the border through the prism of seven different thematical sections. Anniversary of the first flight into space will be honoured by 'What an Outer Space!' section, in which, apart from screenings of the films dedicated to the exploration of the universe, there will also be a debate with Russian cosmonauts – Hermaszewski, Jurij Baturin, A. Leonow.

New cinema's Caleidoscope will allow the viewers to see the diversity of Russian films, MOSCOW DAY will focus on colourful capital of the Eastern neighbour, whereas MALE CINEMA will attract men hungry for impressions. For the first time, the organizers will show a few films in EROTICA IN RUSSIAN CINEMA section. In THE BEST OF SPUTNIK, the best films will be screened. Russian Film Festival doesn't forget about the youngest – Little Sputnik has been prepared especially for them.

In the competition, which accompanies the festival, ten author productions from the last two years will compete for the main award.
