Tour de Pologne (August-September)

Tour de Pologne is the biggest sport event in Poland. The cycling race held every year visits 400 cities and towns. Over two million fans support cyclists along the route of the cycling race. Tour de Pologne is on the prestigious list of over twenty the most important cycling events in the world, next to such famous races as Tour de France or Giro d’Italia. The race manager is Czesław Lang, an outstanding Polish cyclist, the winner of Tour de Pologne in 1980.

The Archaeological Festival (September)

September, Biskupin

Every year at the end of September the ancient settlement of Biskupin hosts the Archaeological Festival. Visitors to this early wooden fort of the Lusatian culture dating back the 8th century B.C. set out on amazing journey back in time. They watch fascinating demonstrations of ancient trades and crafts, as well as mediaeval fashion shows. Artisans who present their skills include potters, glassblowers, woodcarvers, stone masons, purse makers and many others.

The Warsaw Autumn Festival (September)

September, Warsaw
Established in 1956, the International Festival of Contemporary Music “Warsaw Autumn” demonstrates impressive continuity and achievements. Above all, it is recognised all over the world as the witness of the artistic debut of the Polish avant-garde musicians of the 1950s and 1960s, including Krzysztof Penderecki and Henryk Mikołaj Górecki.

Wratislavia Cantans (September)

September, Wrocław
The International Wratislavia Cantans Festival is one of the largest festivals held in Poland. Established in 1966 and originally limited to oratorios and cantatas, it was soon extended to encompass symphonic and chamber music concerts, vocal and instrumental recitals, as well as other art forms.

The Cross-Culture Warsaw Festival (September - October)

26 September – 6 October, Warsaw
The Cross-Culture Warsaw Festival presents the most interesting phenomena within the field of world music and culture. It is one of the biggest events in Poland and Central and Eastern Europe.
