Soon, the pre-war Polish films, in which we can admire such famous polish actors as Pola Negri, Eugeniusz Bodo and Adolf Dymsza, will be streamed on the Internet in a completely new digital quality.

The institution responsible for films’ renewal and popularisation is Polish Ministry of Culture and National Heritage, which plans to post the videos on the Internet this year.

Movies in a completely new quality will be available on the so-called public domain as the common cultural heritage of the European Union, in accordance with the directives of the European Commission. Europeana (http://www.europeana.eu) is a portal which collects various works, documents, books, paintings, photographs, audiovisual materials, etc., which copyrights have expired. Now they are freely available to the Internet users.

This site and its extensive resources are creatively and innovatively facilitating the promotion of cultural heritage of Europe.
