Polish premiere of „Rose” by Smarzowski

Today, February 3, 2012 the Polish premiere of Wojciech Smarzowski’s film “Róża” (“Rose”) will take place.
“Róża” tells the story of Masuria Region (Poland) citizens just after World War II. The most important theme in the film is the complicated love story of Róża (Rose, played by Agata Kulesza)and Tadeusz (in that role Marcin Dorociński).
The film took part in many film festivals, where it was frequently awarded, e.g. Grand Prix and Audience Award at 27th Warsaw’s Film Festival, special award for Marcin Dorociński and six over-statutory awards at 36th Polish Film Festival in Gdynia, special distinction at 15th international Tallinn Black Nights Film Festival.
International premiere of “Róża” took place at 36th Toronto International Film Festival (September 2011).
