The world sits on Polish chairs
You can find them easily at South African football stadiums, French finance ministry and the local post office branches. Within 20 years a small plant, producing chairs at Krosno in South-East Poland, has become one of the largest furniture corporations in Europe – Nowy Styl Group.
Central-Europeans want to travel the world and Poles know how to make money on it

Polish yachts on the seven seas
The Yantar Yachts company, with its headquarters in Gdańsk Shipyard (the cradle of the Solidarity movement), builds luxury motor boats using state-of-the-art material and technologies. Yantar yachts amazingly reconcile Australian design, German steel, American engines, Swedish drives, Japanese navigation electronics and Polish workmanship.
Porcelain, the white gold, has been fascinating for ages. European alchemists used to work to find out the secret of porcelain, which had been known only to the Chinese. The mystery was solved by Boettger, whose accidental discovery - as he was seeking the philosopher's stone - was followed by the establishment of the oldest European porcelain manufacture in Meissen in 1710. By the mid-18th century other manufactures had been founded: in Vienna, Venice, Petersburg, Berlin and Sevres. In 1790 a factory in Ćmielów, the Świętokrzyskie province, was established and since then it has continually been offering world quality elegance tableware porcelain. Its sets can be found, for example, on the tables in Buckingham Palace and the Polish Prime Minister’s Office.
