Polish cities of future

The Financial Times Group in its “FDI Intelligence” rapport has published the latest ranking called “European Cities and Regions of the Future 2012/2013.” The classification lists cities and regions which are having the best strategies of acquiring new foreign investors, inter alia in Eastern Europe.

In Eastern Europe category the cities ranking is opened by three Polish cities! The first place went to Katowice, second to Krakow and third to Lublin! Worth noting is that in last year ranking none of the Polish cities was in the top five. Other Polish big cities are also highly ranked. Warsaw took 6th position and Poznan 8th.

Polish regions in the same category (Eastern Europe) are well assessed too. The best strategies of acquiring new foreign investors has Malopolska which is the leader of the ranking (17th place in the Europe) and next is Opolszczyzna with iits 2nd position (22nd place in the Europe).

FDI Intelligence was assessing 253 cities and 110 regions of Europe taking into consideration such aspects as: economic potential, human capital, cost effectiveness, quality of life, infrastructure and business friendliness.
