Polish Fauna Gardens in Bydgoszcz
The Polish Fauna Garden is the only zoo in Poland to focus on indigenous animals. If you would like to get to know the cornucopia of Polish fauna, you should definitely make your way here.
The Polish Fauna Garden (1978) is situated within the grounds of the Forest Park of Culture and Recreation, stretching across 14 hectares of land. Visitors will get to know Polish mammals, reptiles and amphibians, including those difficult to spot due to their limited territorial occurrence in nature or nocturnal activity.
You can see bears, badgers, lynx, eagles, goldfinches, owls, storks and ducks at the zoo in Bydgoszcz.
The zoo's central part boasts a charming pond and an island inhabited by aquatic birds. Small predators are housed in cages lining the path. The winter enclosure includes a selection of local reptiles and amphibians.
Children visiting the zoo can come into direct contact with animals, they can pet a donkey, pony, dwarf goat or guinea pig.
