For the 19th time Polish popular “Politics” (Polityka) weekly will grant Polish artists with the award called “Polityka Passports 2011.”

The nominations were given since November till December 2011 in six various categories: film, theatre, visual arts, classical music, popular music and literature.

The idea of the award is to distinguish artists who already have gained significant achievements, but they also have distinct potential for future achievements. The “Passport” is to be an identity document, directing attention on the talented artists who are crossing the boundaries in art and who are able to reach not only the national audience.

These year nominees inter alia are: Mikołaj Łoziński, Nicolas (Mikołaj) Grospierre, Krzysztof Garbaczewski, Rafael Lewandowski.

Announcement of winners will take place in Warsaw, the Polish National Opera today, January 17, 2012.
