The 15th century portrait of a young female holding a white ermine is part of the permanent collection of the Czartoryski Museum in Kraków, where it has been for more than 100 years. The portrait will be on view at the Wawel Royal Castle until the completion of the major renovation now underway at the Czartoryski Museum.

Jewish District (Kazimierz) in Krakow

Another historical municipality in the outskirts of Krakow, Kazimierz, is now one ofthe city's most attractive districts. Dotted with old buildnings which give a special ambience to the area, Kazimierz was home to the larger part of the Jewish population of Krakow tilll 1939.

The Bedzin Castle is a castle in Bedzin in southern Poland. The stone castle dates to 14th century, and is predated by a wooden fortification that was erected in 11th century. It was an important fortification in the Kingdom of Poland.
