Nałęczów

Nałęczów, “city-garden” situated among lush greenery, in the valley surrounded by hills and ravines, retained its climate and atmosphere of a health resort from the 19th century. People come here to treat their hearts, nervous systems and improve their well-being.

The most important place in Nałęczów is the Spa Park with the oldest sanatorium, historical baths by a pond, a pump room serving water rich in magnesium, potassium and calcium that soothes body and soul. After visiting the park, it is worth taking a walk along the representative Lipowa Street by which beautiful centenary villas and elegant boarding houses stand among old trees. The most valuable monument of Nałęczów is also situated here – the Baroque Małachowscy's palace (the end of the 18th century).

The following writers and artists of the turn of the centuries were under the spell of the health resort: Bolesław Prus, Stefan Żeromski (they both have their own museums and monuments here), Jan Lechoń, Ewa Szelburg-Zarębina, Kazimiera Iłłakowiczówna.

Today Nałęczów invites to its sanatoriums, including a cardiological sanatorium that is visited by patients after heart transplants, health and beauty spas, specialist doctor’s surgeries. It is a place where cardiovascular diseases, neurosis, anaemia and states of exhaustion are treated. It is also a place where you can relax while drinking Nałęczowianka mineral water and savouring the taste of the famous Nałęczów plum in chocolate.
