Muskauer Park is one of the greatest examples of landscape design in Europe. The park is located at both sides of the Lusatian Neisse, which forms the border between Poland and Germany. It was established by Prussian Prince Herman von Puckler-Muskau in 1815-45, and its surface area is approximately 1000 ha, of which 800 ha is located in Poland. Muskauer Park pioneered the new approach to landscape design and influenced the development of landscape architecture in Europe and America. Designed as ‘a painting done with plants’, it uses the advantages of local plants and is an ideal place to take a charming walk.
