12th Schuman’s Parade 2011

Every year, at the beginning of May the Shuman’s Parade sets off at the Warsaw's Castle Square and Krakowskie Przedmieście and Nowy Świat Street change into a place of European integration and education.

The Schuman Parade is a holiday held to celebrate “Europe’s birthday”.

The International Festival of Orthodox Church Music (May)

Each year in May the city of Hajnówka in Podlaskie Voivodeship gathers more than 1,000 singers from many countries in Europe, Asia, North America and Africa. For one week, Holy Trinity Orthodox Cathedral reverberates with solemn liturgical hymns in such languages as Old-Church Slavonic, Ukrainian, Byelorussian, Finnish, Russian, Bulgarian, Swedish, and the Lemko dialect.

International Book Fair (May)

International Theatre Festival KONTAKT (May)

Since 1991, International Theatre Festival KONTAKT has been organized in Wilam Horzyca Theatre in Toruń. The Festival is a review of the most interesting theatre events in the Central and Eastern Europe, with participants coming from countries adjacent to Poland. However, the Festival attracts also theatres from other parts of Europe as well as from the entire world.
