Underground relay race – running for the Guinness record (March)
To celebrate the Day of the King Casimir in Bochnia, the Underground Relay Race is held in Bochnia at the beginning of March. It is located 212 meters under the ground level and it leads along galleries of the historic salt mine in Bochnia. It is the only race like this in the world!
The Mystery of Christ's Passion (March-April)
Every year in Kalwaria, the Mystery of Christ’s Passion is performed from Palm Sunday to Good Friday.
Over 400 years ago, Mikołaj Zebrzydowski ordered construction of the Calvary (Kalwaria) in imitation of the Way of the Cross in Jerusalem. The following were built: a church, a monastery, chapels and among others: Pilate's Palace, the Tomb of Jesus Christ, the Garden of Gethsemane, Herod’s Palace and the Cenacle.
