Katarzyna Kozyra (born 1963) - graduated in sculpture from the Warsaw Academy of Fine Art. Her diploma work, 'Animal pyramid' (1993) set the art world and public opinion talking. Her subsequent works include 'Towers of blood,' 'Baths', 'Men's baths'. Kozyra has also achieved success outside Poland. In 1998 she won an honorary distinction at the Art Biennial in Venice. She received "Paszport Polityki" award in Poland in 1997. Her works stir up criticism, in 1999 her art was involved in a censorship incident.
