Jacek Gaj

Jacek Gaj (born 1938) - graphic artist and illustrator, professor at the Cracow Academy of Fine Arts. The creator of small copper-plated graphics, allegorically representing human life. He is widely known for his fountain-pen-and-brush serial 'Doctor Faustus'. His works have been displayed in more 250 exhibitions, e.g. in Warsaw, Łódź, Cologne, Vienn, Rome, Paris, and New York. Jacek Gaj received many awards and prizes, for example, at the International Biennale of Graphical Art in Cracow in 1966 and 1968.
