Beskid Culture Week has been organized for more than 40 years and counts among the oldest folk events in Poland and in Europe.
It is a feast of Polish highlanders’, a celebration of the Gorale culture, full of music, songs and dance. It recalls folk tradition which is still alive in this area. The events organized within the Week programme are: Polish Gorale Folklore Festival in Żywiec, Istebna Fair, International Folklore Meetings in Szczyrk, Gorale Holiday in Jabłonkowo, Zaolzie, Czech Republic, Wawrzyńcowe Hudy in Ujsoły.
