The 18th Woodstock Festival (Pol. Przystanek Woodstock) will take place in Kostrzyń on the Oder (Western Poland) from 2-4th August 2012.

It is a huge summer music festival traditionally held in the town of Kostrzyń on the Oder. As for the artists, the 2012 line-up involves bands like Anthrax and Ministry (both from the USA).
The Festival is organized by the Great Orchestra of Christmas Charity Foundation in order to thank all its volunteers and supporters who take part in the annual Grand Finale fundraising event in January. The first Woodstock Festival took place in 1995 in Czymanów at the Żarnowieckie Lake.

In 2011 some 700,000 people came to Kostrzyń for the 17th Woodstock Festival, and it has been record turnout so far… Probably it was due to the amazing performers incl. The Prodigy, Dog Eat Dog, Halloween, Gentelman & the Evolution.
However, the Polish Woodstock Festival offers also a great opportunity for young and unknown bands to gig there! Interested bands should apply for an audition – please follow the info on the Festival’s website, or inquire at eliminacje@fabrykazespolow.pl. First deadline 29th February 2012!
