“Women vs. the World” movie review in Wrocław

The Lower Silesian Film Center (Pol. Dolnośląskie Centrum Filmowe) will host a film review “Women vs. the World” devoted to the situation of women in today’s world organized by the Association “Spring ‘04”, Foundation Visionica, and “Odra-Film” Cultural Institution. This promising event will take place from February 13th to 19th in the Lower Film Center at 64a Piłsudskiego Street in Wrocław. The movie review aims at awakening the awareness towards the issue of women, often by touching controversial matters. In general, the review is intended for young people who might enjoy having their horizons broadened regarding the issue of women and their rights worldwide. The movies presented will depict, for example, cultural changes in various parts of the globe and their impact on the life of women. In the programme there are the following titles: “Ki” (by Leszek Dawid, Poland), “Karen Cries on the Bus” (by Gabriel Rojas Vera, Colombia), and “4 Months, 3 Weeks and 2 Day” (by Cristian Mungiu, Romania) to name a few. Every movie will be accompanied by an introduction and each day will finish with a discussion with experts.

Tickets: 13 PLN (regular) and 11 PLN (concession)
